Winter Makeup - 4 trends to try

Makeup trends hot off the catwalks include sharper silhouettes - think 1980s - and more defined makeup, including dark lips, smoky eyes, fluorescent and high shine lip glosses, and deep khaki.

We’ve interpreted these trends into easy, wearable makeup tips for you and your clients, so go on, have fun, try something new!   Some of the winter colours we are loving include:

1. Black:

The timeless elegance of black lives on this season.

How to wear it:

Arty eyeliner (think cat eye continued, with a playful twist!) or Smoky Eyes, worn your way. Try a Felt Tip Eyeliner and a Smoky Eyeshadow Quinset palette to make life easier, or be bold with our uber-popular Indelible Gel Eyeliner.

2. Claret:

Lips as dark as red wine.

How to wear it:

Add a touch of darkness for a statement lip - try the 5-shades in the Cocoa Lane Lipstick Carousel and you’ll find the perfect shade to suit.

3. Bubblegum pink:

1980s inspired, glam-brightness with a feminine strength!

How to wear it:

Keeping the rest of your makeup simple and nude, try a hydrating liquid lipstick or highly pigmented lipgloss such as Runway Lipgloss in Catwalk.

4. Glossy:

Spotted at Christian Dior (amongst others) at Paris Fashion week were models sporting ultra-wet looking lips.

How to wear it:

Add some drama to any finished makeup look by applying a lacquer-looking, high shine lip gloss such as Wetlips.
