Wendy Hill
Managing Director

Wendy is one of New Zealand's most highly respected makeup artists and is well known for her training skills and - prior to the creation of Wendy Hill Cosmetics - for her work as a makeup designer with NBR New Zealand Opera and stage productions, and with commercial and private clients.

She has had extensive overseas training in London and New York, and has a comprehensive background in beauty and fashion, photographic, retail and theatre makeup.  She is also an experienced makeup tutor, and has lectured extensively for drama and makeup schools, beauty schools and theatre productions New Zealand wide. She is also a recognised tutor in business skills for the beauty industry.

In her wide range of makeup work, Wendy identified the need for a makeup range designed specifically for the unique requirements of the New Zealand market.

"The natural light in New Zealand and the Pacific is quite different to the Northern Hemisphere, and our light is well favoured by the film and photographic industry," she says.  "Wendy Hill Makeup is coloured to complement the golden light effects of the Southern Hemisphere.  It is a quality, healthy product that will perform and last well in heat and humidity and under hot studio lighting, and will alway photograph beautifully. Because of its high quality it is kind to all skin types, and of course it is not tested on animals."

Wendy's unique service to the industry means she works with stockists to set their makeup budgets and advise them on the products specific to their client's needs.

Amitee Green-Hill
Beauty Consultant

Amitee has more than 10 years experience as a makeup artist, and is one of Auckland's most sought-after makeup artists.

She has worked as a makeup artist, alongside many leading beauty professionals including award-winning hair stylist Mana Dave, fashion designers Liz Mitchell and Annah Stretton, and as a beauty consultant with Wendy Hill Cosmetics. She has lectured as a makeup tutor in beauty schools, Polytechs and makeup workshops throughout New Zealand.

She has done makeup and provided makeup advice for many leading entertainment and business personalities including Miss World New Zealand, Kahurangi Taylor, haute couture designer Liz Mitchell, Candy Lane, Michael Barrymore, international opera stars and leading politicians. She is also sought after as a makeup artist for weddings, fashion shoots, television and still advertising shots, and for stage and television productions.

Sanchia Reed
Makeup Trainer, Events and Promotion Consultant
Wellington

Sanchia is a highly qualified makeup artist, hair stylist, wig maker, special effects and prosthetic artist, with a special passion and flair for makeup.

She trained in Australia and New Zealand and has worked here and overseas, specialising in magazine, commercial, bridal and photo shoots. She is also experienced in specialised makeup skills such as airbrushing and body FX.

Sanchia is based in Wellington City and is a valued member of the Wendy Hill team who has been tutoring Wendy Hill Cosmetics makeup workshops around the country and acting as our makeup consultant in the southern North Island for more than two years.

Katey Rudlin
Makeup Tutor

Katey is one of the most experienced makeup artists and makeup tutors in New Zealand.

She has more than 20 years international experience and has worked with such luminaries as Peter Jackson, Rowan Atkinson, Pam Ferris, Gwyneth Powell, Clive James, Donald Sindon and Windsor Davies, and has worked on TV and film productions including King Kong, Mr Bean, Bad Girls, The Bill and Red Dwarf.

As well as makeup, Katey is also fully experienced in hair and in the design and application of prosthetics, and has a City & Guilds qualification in hairdressing, wig making and beauty therapy.

Stephanie Nielsen
Makeup Tutor

Stephanie has more than 20 years experience as a makeup artist, and was formerly with Estee Lauder as part of their promotional team. She trained at the Greasepaint School of Makeup in London. 

As well handling makeup workshops for Wendy Hill Cosmetics, she also has her own mobile makeup business in Auckland specialising in bridal and special occasion makeup, corporate makeup events and one-to-one makeup training.

Stephanie is a highly skilled and experienced makeup artist with a high level of makeup artistry and professionalism, and is an experienced beauty tutor.

Tom Clarke
Marketing Director

Tom has a long background in journalism and marketing and for some 25 years prior to joining Wendy Hill Cosmetics, ran a number of successful PR and marketing consultancies.  Beside looking after media relations, advertising and PR, Tom also looks after accounts and customer services.

Customer Relations/PR

Bella is our resident Powder Puff and Hostess, and has been a high profile and very popular member of the Wendy Hill Team since the launch of the brand.
